Join husband and wife Nandini and Yusef in their intimate Brooklyn apartment, where for one night a month they open up the home for a delectable five-course Mauritian inspired dining experience. Welcome cocktails handcrafted by The Cocktail Architect Appetizers/ GaDJACKS Seasonal cocktail Welcome Drinks Briyani Balls served with Rougaille Cumin spiced lamb balls served with a spicy thyme based tomato sauce Crispy Okra Salad served on a bed of tomatoes and red onion Poulet a la Plage Skewered chicken marinated with yogurt and cilantro served lemon Butterbean Curry Served with Rice or paratha An assortment of Mango Pickle, Raita and Tomato Chatini Chuntey ,Dessert Mango, Lemongrass and Ginger Yoghurt

    Nandini's experience was incredible! We did a private event for a birthday and she considered all the details - having vegetables with each guest's name written to menu cards to take. We had a cocktail pairing with each course. All the food, all the drinks were absolutely wonderful. Highly recommend this unique Mauritius experience! 5

Evento de Nandini

Growing up in London, to a family of Mauritian immigrants, I always enjoyed the mix of cultures I came across, each with their own food and drinks that brought out aromas, flavors, and worlds which I wanted to know more about. I knew my passion revolved around hospitality and how well crafted food and drink not only create an experience but could make anyone feel welcome. With no Mauritian here in New York, I found myself heading into the kitchen, as a way of feeling connected to my roots and finding some balance in my life. I then met my hubby Yusef Austin a mixologist from The Cocktail Architect and together we began cooking for friends, hosting Mauritian inspired pop-up dinner parties in the Hamptons, New Hampshire, Hudson Valley, Annapolis, and London. Through hosting with Eat with, we marry our love of cooking, entertaining and hospitality. Our dinners connect strangers and friends, to socialize whilst enjoying a lovingly made home-cooked meal.
