I and my wife could have a very nice experience in central of Paris. Catherine and her friend (?) were very frank, so we spend about two hours with wonderful wine, food and especially with nice conversation. We hope we can visit her room again, and talk a lot some day. 4.7

We had a lovely and engaging meal with Catherine. The appetizers, a cheese puff pastry, an olive marmalade pastry, and my favorite, croutons with sardine, garlic, and lemon started the meal off well. The main course of cod served with a vegetable ratatouille and rice, had a nice sear and delicate flavor. Catherine prepares her food very thoughtfully and with a lovely balance of flavors. The cheese course was accompanied with a marmalade and a special olive oil, enhancing the cheeses. And for dessert, a Marabelle plum tart. Not too sweet and celebrating the flavor of the plums. Catherine accompanied all of this with some beautiful organic wines from Languedoc that enhanced the meal. I could go on about the food, but what made the evening so special was Catherine sharing her home and some of her life with us. A very special night indeed. Merci beaucoup. 5

I grew up near Montfort l'Amaury where my dad used to have a restaurant. Some are born with a silver spoon in their mouth, I was born with a wooden spoon in my hand! I spent a lot of time in my father's kitchen where I tasted the dishes, enjoyed all the smells and I watched all the recipes develop before my eyes, to the delight of the customers and mine. After having worked and loved fashion for 30 years, I am now a Therapist, but above all, I'm a bubbly 60-year-old Parisian who get back to my first passion cooking!! I cultivate the art of eating well for the well being, I like the discussions around a pretty table well prepared with a glass of good wine, a small jazzy note in the ear, a cozy atmosphere of candles. I like to explore new flavors, make beautiful meetings where everyone shares their experiences, their travels. I know Thailand quite well as I go there pretty often. It gives me the opportunity to bring back nice spices that I like to add to my dishes. I practice yoga, meditation, I study Buddhism, I eat organic without meat. I like the real, the natural, the authentic in the human relations and on my plate. To sum it up, I would say I love life. If you wish, I propose before dinner as a joyful appetizer, a small walk on the docks with a magnificent view of Notre Dame. See you soon. A bientôt.
