About your host, Olivia: "Cooking and travelling is part of my DNA. Born in Reunion Island, grew up in the south of France, my grand parents lived in Morocco, I lived 10 years abroad including 10 years in China and Spain. My French Mediterranean cuisine is inspired from my travels. As I'm more and more involved into the Zero Waste, I will cook for you recipes made of seasonal and fresh ingredients from the local market or farmers around Paris. I'm a globetrotting mother, of two young children. Cooking and traveling are part of my DNA: a double legacy that I owe to my family. My grandparents from Morocco, born on the island of Reunion, raised in the south of France, I shared the first thirty years of my life between France, Spain and China. Around each of my journeys, there has always been a common denominator: the pleasure of the senses and especially that of the palate. I also founded the school Cuisine mei wenti in China, with the aim of demystifying French cuisine and making it accessible to as many people as possible. Back in France, to keep this spirit of exchange, I would like you to discover my family recipes and generous with a touch of exoticism. Je suis une maman globetrotteuse. La cuisine et les voyages sont inscrits dans mon ADN : un double héritage que je dois à ma famille. Mes grands-parents originaires du Maroc, née sur l'île de la Réunion, élevée dans le sud de la France, j'ai partagé les trente premières années de ma vie entre la France, les Etats-Unis, Shanghai, Madrid et Pékin. Autour de chacun de mes périples, il y a toujours eu un dénominateur commun : le plaisir des sens et surtout celui du palais. J'ai d'ailleurs fondé l'école Cuisine mei wenti en Chine, dans le but de démystifier la cuisine française et la rendre accessible au plus grand nombre. De retour en France, pour garder cet esprit d'échange, j'aimerais vous faire découvrir mes recettes familiales et généreuses agrémentées d'une touche d'exotisme.
