Mexican-Caribbean 5-course dinner in a tropical loft Welcome to the Cannibal Caribbean Dinner Series! Mexico´s most delicious and well-known dishes come from the Caribbean Coast. Discover the flavors of this region at a dinner in a beautiful Caribbean style loft in the center of Barcelona! 🌴 ⚡️ This cuisine features the most iconic Mexican and Caribbean flavors and dishes. The dinner starts with the iconic Guacamole con Totopos, followed by a Yuca croquette stuffed with octopus escabeche, then a citrusy Sopa de Lima with a Caribbean twist. For the main course, Cochinita Pibil, (slow-roasted pork in an achiote and orange sauce) and to finish, Churros con Chocolate Mexicano ⚡️ A homemade Tamarind Margarita, wine and beer are included ⚡️ Communal dining for 4 to 12 people ⚡️Laura has been working in gastronomy and hospitality for over 10 years and traveling Mexico extensively for the last 7 years 🌱 Vegetarian and pescatarian options upon request About your host, Laura: "I'm an avid traveler, food lover, and aspiring gardener. Hello! I am Laura. Born in the Dominican Republic, raised in Puerto Rico and now living in Barcelona and Mexico for the past six years with my partner in crime and cooking Ivan, born and raised in a Mexico. My passion for food began when I was a child, learning to cook with my grandmothers. As a professional I have been working in the field of gastronomy and hospitality for about 10 years, as a cook, pastry chef, waitress, restaurant manager and organizer of culinary events. For the past 7 years I have been traveling with Ivan extensively throughout Mexico, learning all I can about its incredible cuisine, and now with his guidance we are ready to offer you culinary experiences from both of our stories. I am passionate about expressing my love for cooking culture and using everything I learned from my family, during my career and on my travels, to create culinary events where I can share my cuisine knowledge and experience and do it in a hospitable way where my guests feel at home!
