Introduction to Vegan Cooking-Middle Eastern Food
Hi all, my name is Alon. I am originally from Israel and I'm passionate about cooking delicious vegan food. I would like to invite you to a special evening of middle eastern food.
Growing up in a multicultural place like Israel, I have experienced foods origanting from different countries like Hummus from Egypt, spicy carrot salad from Marroco or couscous from the Maghreb first handed from people who were born there.
This dinner is all about sharing the colorful variety of vegan dishes you can make, that are as healthy as they are delicious and often also easy to make, using ingredients of Middle Eastern cuisine. From fresh vegetable and different leguemes to cooked dishes you will see how by using only Middle Eastern cuisine you can have a full, healthy and tasty vegan life.
WE WILL START THE EVENING WITH 10 SALADS ON THE TABLE- LENTILS, SPICY CARROTS, CABBAGE, EGGPLANTS TIMES 2, BEETROOTS, VEGETABLES, TAHINI, TABOULEH AND CHERRY TOMATOES.
Second course would be homemade hummus(real hummus!), baked cauli flower with raw tahini and majadra.
Main course is wholegrain couscous with traditional style root vegetable soup with chickpeas.
Dessert would be a surprise
