We had an amazing time and conversations at Julia and Johnny's. We even met a couple that knew our friends from home! Cute space, great food. Julia and Johnny explained the dishes as they came and are very passionate about what they do

We are Johnny and Julia, a young couple who met while working together in the NYC dining scene. Together we've created WoodEar, an eatery located in our cozy Brooklyn brownstone.
Having worked at Michelin-starred Del Posto and former Japanese speakeasy Dinnertable to name a few, Chef Johnny has acquired a plethora of knowledge in being a trained cook. His decision to abandon the traditional restaurant scene was simple: to cook as it is meant to be, sharing with others and while under ones own terms and standards. With Julia's savvy, logistical planning and managerial skills obtained from running several successful pop-ups and bars, they have formed the perfect duo.
At WoodEar, we pride ourselves in offering an all-inclusive experience complete with a carefully crafted seasonal dinner, bottomless drinks, the most welcoming of hosts and memorable new friendships.
